Bangkok

Again Bangkok was a culture shock. A completely different one to Dubai. Like most cities it was very fast paced, humid and confusing. Personally we found Bangkok very dirty and smelly. Later on we found out we were ripped off on the taxi from the airport, it should cost between 600-700bht, ours cost £1000 and it was on the meter. So the meter must have been tampered with- so be careful.
We stayed there three nights at the Buddy Boutique hotel, which was a really good location as it was just off the Koah San Road. We found that three nights was more than enough for us. I'd recommend only staying one, maybe two nights maximum in the city.
While we were there we wanted to do the  typical things, like go to the floating market, see the majority of the temples, and watch a ping pong show and go to the skybar which was where a scene from the hangover was filmed.
Unfortunately we were on a very tight budget, so we only managed to see one temple, we saw the 'Wat Arun' this is one of the most popular, especially during sunset. It was beautiful, and huge, we climbed as far as we could, this was when Amy discovered her fear of heights and froze half way up the steap staircase, clutching on to the railings.
The only other thing we did in Bangkok was watch a ping pong show. It was basically a live sex show. We were taken on a tuk tuk down this dark alley and led into the side door, forced to pay 500bht and made to sit in this room and watched things we never want to see again. For example, smoking, opening a bottle, firing a dart, banana and of course a ping pong all out of you know what... Because we were in the middle of nowhere the tuk tuk drivers knew they could rip us off. It is hard to find a Thai person to trust.
We didn't get to go to the Skybar because we were told we wernt dressed smart enough, but instead we got drunk and ate a Scorpian.
The only reason we didn't make it to the floating market was because again it was hard to find a Thai person to trust, we were told so many different things about where the market was, how much you should pay to get there etc etc, in the end we decided not to go. But I do wish we had gone.
Next stop, Koh Chang!!

Dubai

Well.. Where to begin. For me Dubai was a massive culture shock, however It was truly mind blowing.

We stayed Dream Palace hotel in Deira, which is classed as the Old town, it's a very local. Personally I would recommend to any tourist to stay in Downtown. It's a little more touristy there and you are less likely to stick out like a soar thumb. Being blonde does not help!

Firstly we had a look around the Duabi mall! You could spend days there, there is an aquarium, icerink and waterfall inside it, it really has everything you could ever need. Just outside of the main entrance to the mall is the Burj Khalifa. Which is the tallest building in the world, you can go up there but I think it was pretty pricey. Next to that is the Dubai fountains, every hour the fountains go off and perform a stunning display to classical music.

The following day we sunbathed next to the man made Palm Jumeria, caught the metro straight down the centre of the Palm just in time to watch the sunset over the Atlantis hotel. We were lucky enough to be aloud on the private beach at that time and then we were invited to go to the aquarium for free!

We found that the metro was the cheapest, easiest and quickest way around the country. Once we found our feet we both did enjoy Dubai. I would visit it again, however I would make sure I stay in Downtown.

Our next stop is Bangkok, Thailand!! How exciting!

LUSH: American Cream conditioner review.

American Cream

Where to begin?

I suffer with very coarse, dry hair. It isn't so much damaged as I have regular cuts. I was starting to get really frustrated as I was using various products aimed at dry damaged hair and they just weren't working. Until I discovered American CreamThe consistency of this product is very thick, but it spreads through the hair smoothly and washes out easily. Once dry my hair felt so soft and had such a nice shine to it, it's the softest it's ever been in years. It almost feels like I've just had it cut. Volume is also extremely important to me, and American Cream allows my hair to keep it's natural volume.

This yummy conditioner is jam packed with 17 different ingredients, including fresh strawberries and vitamin C, the sent is divine. So sweet and creamy, it's also very long lasting, (which I like as I don't wash my hair regularly.) Inspired by 1950's US milk bars LUSH says that: This creamy conditioner is what the girls would have used to make their hair soft before going out on a date, dressed up in their bobby socks and circular skirts. The scent of honey, vanilla, strawberries and oranges is so sexy and sweet that dates can’t stay away.

I would recommend this conditioner to anyone, especially if they have dry hair.

MAC Review: Viva Glam 2

Viva Glam II

I honestly swear by this lipstick!

For a while I pondered about purchasing a neutral lipstick, one that I could wear everyday that didn't look cheap and tacky. I was in the MAC store and I noticed an offer of any lipstick for £5 with any purchase. You've probably put the two and two together, yes, this is how I discovered Viva glam II.
I would describe the colour as a slightly nude beige with mauve tone. On different lights, the colour appears to change. It is very flattering and long lasting, paired with with MAC's 'Beurre' liner it gives the nicest tone to your face. The lipstick itself is relatively long lasting. I do struggle with lipstick as I must subconsciously lick/ bite my lips a lot because most lipsticks don't last long. I also tend to get dry lips which as most girls know is a nightmare when you want to wear a statement lippy. However Viva Glam II doesn't appear to fade as easy. This may be due to the fact that it is a neutral tone, therefore it is not as obvious when it fades.
This lipstick is the only lipstick in my life that I have finished. I was gutted when I could see it was coming to the end. But luckily for me my girl Harriet surprised me with a late birthday present, we all know late ones are the best! I was over the moon, bless her!
Anyway, I would recommend this lipstick to anyone who is also debating about a neutral lippy!

Ascot

Dress- Asos|| Coat and shoes-Newlook
So I was lucky enough to be invited to Ascot. I had only ever worked at the Cheltenham races so I jumped at the opportunity to go. After a breif look on ASOS I stumbled across this dress. Asos, thank god has 20% off that weekend so it worked out to be a reasonable price. I ordered the dress in a 10 and it was HUGE. So if anyone is thinking of getting it get the size down.
I almost wish I found this dress sooner so I could have had it as my graduation dress.
As for the actual races, A good tip that worked for me and my friend. Simply hang around a stand that has a list of the races on then look at who puts the most money on a horse. It worked for us and we won a fair few races!

Lush- Rose Jam review

Rose Jam-Lush

Well... Where to start. I know i'm not alone when I say I love smells, especially gorgeous smelling shower gels, candles, moisturiser, etc.

So as you can imagine when I discovered this particular LUSH shower gel I simply couldn't say no!

If I am honest, I am not a regular LUSH customer. Not for any particular reason, I just have never really entered the shop. However when I walked in to the Bristol based store I was greeted with spectacular customer service. All the girls were so friendly and keen to help, they asked me what I was looking for, and gave me advise on their favourite products and best sellers.

As you can probably guess, this product does smell of roses, but it's not an overpowering floral smell (which I hate), it is lightly scented, it also contains vanilla, lemon and argon oil which all compliment each other to give this beautiful smell. What I also love about this is the smell actually stays on you. Most shower gels I find only last the actually shower, as soon as you towel dry you no longer smell of the shower gel.

As I was about to pay I was asked if I had tried another LUSH product that also shares it's fragrance with Rose Jam. Immediatly I was handed thos product and a tester pot so I could try it at home. This was called Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. You actually use this like you would condition your hair. Again this product's smell lasts for hours, I would really recommend both.

My only negative would be the price, for a extremely poor graduate like myself forking nearly £10 a 250g bottle of shower gel is rather a lot, however I do feel like it is worth it.

I am really keen to visit LUSH in Bristol again as I was in a rush before and didn't get to have a proper look around. Their friendly staff and excellent customer service really made my experience shopping their a great one.

P.S This product is a limited christmas edition so grab a bottle quick!

Basics

Dress-H&M||Shirt-Loot Vintage||Shoes-JC||Necklace-Topshop||Lips-Mac Diva||Mesh-Oh My Love

Happy Hump Day!!

Who else is looking forward to Halloween? When I was younger I was never aloud to go trick or treating. So now i'm older I think i'm making up for it now. I can't wait to get all dressed up and have fun!
This outfit is becoming a regular occurrence of mine. It is so simple, but just adding a statement necklace makes a huge difference and swapping the shirt for a smarted shirt can transform it from day to night... Marvellous! I also added a long sleeved mesh top underneath to make it a bit more wintery! Everyone loves a bit of mesh at the moment don't they?

Keep a look out on my instagram for halloween photo's, I think we are planning to do the famous 'Zombie Walk' that goes on every year in Bristol.

The Cara skirt

Dressfashion Prom Dresses

Bomber, Cami & Skirt-Topshop||Necklace-Warehouse||Shoes-Jeffrey Campbell Coltranes

Again  this is a vert Topshop inspired outfit. Working three jobs leaves little time for shopping. Therefore working at Topshop allows me to almost get paid for shopping. Who's complaining?
So I finally managed to get my hands on this sort after skirt that Cara Develigne wore in her Topshop campaign and I love it. I am not one usually for skirts, but I really like the fit of this one.
It was my birthday last weekend and I am now the tender age of 23. I am even getting wrinkles, it really is all downhill from here.

BLEACH LONDON - Violet skies review

I have previously tried Bleach Londons 'Washed Up Mermaid','Rose' and 'Blullini'. So I thought I would now try a Lilac colour.

Firstly I apologise for my miserable face in all these pictures.
Comb, Gloves and dye... the first and most important.
Freshly shampooed, not conditioned hair.
Split hair into segments, and apply assuring you comb through the dye thoroughly.
Once all done use remainder of dye and apply more.
You can see the colour starting to show. Leave for 15 minutes then rinse.

Here you can see the end results. I am happy with the overall colour that this product has achieved. The only problems is the colour hasn't held onto the ends of my hair as they haven't been coloured in a while in comparison to my roots.

Band of Gypsies

Dressfashion Prom Dresses

Shorts, Necklace, Kimono & Shoes-Topshop|Crop-River Island

Evening,

The weather has been so unexpectedly nice at the moment, perfect for blogging.
Me and my close friends Abbie and Holly all made soup together and decided to walk it off, with the dogs and do a blog post at the same time. Oh how women can multitask.
These shorts have been another wardrobe staple for me this summer, they are part of a co-ord. And are so easy to wear and very comfy.
I now have a few things from the brand Band of Gypsies, they always have such beautiful prints, all of their clothing looks and feels very natural and tribal.
One last thing, I am pretty much stating the obvious. HOW CUTE ARE MY FRIENDS DOGS!

Co-ords

Co-ord(kimono-Shorts) & Shoes-Topshop|Top-River Island

Hey all,
Well... September is here, which can only mean one thing... Summer is closing its doors for 2014. The days will become shorter and the nights will undoubtedly become longer. Boohoo for us summer lovers.
Despite this I will still being strutting around in my summer attire until I catch pneumonia.
This little co-ord is a beauty. I love how Topshop have inverted the colours on the kimono and shorts. This outfit just screams 'Festivalllllll' and me. Throughout the summer these shoes have been a lifesaver too. I have to admit when I first saw them I was a bit apprehensive. I thought to myself, how and why are these back in fashion. But like any other trend it caught on, and people managed to style these shoes wonderfully. As I don't actually own a pair of slip on flip-flops these were ideal for holiday.
