Zaful.

|| Chocker & Overalls - Zaful ||

I was lucky enough to be approached by Libby at www.fshion.me and given the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of amazing brands for a project called ‘I Try’.
I can’t wait to show you all of the fantastic new things I am going to be blogging over the next few months.
I received a couple of things from Zaful- If you haven’t checked them out before then be sure to do so now. They have basically anything you could every need- no joke. You can but pretty much anything from their sight. From jewellery to mermaid tail blankets (Yes, I know). And the best part is its all so cheap!!!

Sadly because I am backpacking I opted for the distressed white-cropped dungarees and a thick chocker to grunge it up a bit more. (The chocker is under $3!) I couldn’t be happier with my dungarees, as they are normally slightly out if my comfort zone. The sizing can measure up a bit smaller than normal, so I would recommend getting the next size up to avoid having to return it.
I hope everyone has a sassy weekend! I am so happy summer is nearly here!

The Flinders ranges

TRAVEL

We began our commute to the Flinders Ranges from the Barossa Valley, a famous wine region just outside of Adelaide. Due to the drive being over six hours we decided to stop half way at a free campsight in Koolunga called White Cliffs Reserve. It felt like we were on the wrong road as its a long gravel path to the camp sight. It was pretty beautiful to say the least. All of the spots were alongside the fresh water stream, with three plus rope swings that hang from overhanging branches. There is even a ladder to climb out- what more could you want from a free camp sight. The only downside was the copious amount of flies but they soon left once we lit a fire. Unfortunately there was no drinking water either - so be prepared.

In the morning we continued our drive to the Ranges. We found that we drove through lots of small towns that looked like they should have been on the Wild west sets. Eventually we arrived at Wilpena Pound resort. For two night on an unpowered pitch we paid $25 each. (The animeties block has plugs.) The next day we began our drive around the Ranges. To drive the entire circumference it takes approximately five hours.
Sadly our cars could not cope. The first initial hurdle was the dusty 'off the beaten track' road. The terrain was tough on the cars, it is definitely a road for 4x4's. It took us roughly 45 minutes to approach the first lookout - Bunyeroo Valley. The view here reminded me of the Grand Canyon. We continued to drive for another 45 minutes and reached out second lookout, Brachia Gorge. This stunning gorge is over 560 million years old. The photos really do not do it justice. We continued straight for another 50k, the terrain was just too much for our car to handle so we headed back to camp, just in time for happy hour (4-5pm).
The Wilpena resort, also offers a pool, bar/restaurant which has reasonably priced food, considering you're in the middle of nowhere, a general store. They also offer a $4 shuttle bus which runs four times a day (9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm) and drives you to hills homestead, from there it's another 1.5km walk to Wangarra lookout. This specific route is only accessible via this shuttle bus, so it is worth seeing.

FASHION

These shorts are pretty old, but my love for them has just continued to grow. I bought them from Lazy Oaf a few years ago. They are great festival shorts. They have also been in my rucksack for our entire trip. Sadly after Asia they did not go over my thighs- Oops. But finally they fit! Yay. They just brighten up any outfit and I am totally in love.

Blogging in Brighton

It sure feels good to have the sun on my skin again after months of being in the snow.

I bought this jumpsuit from Boohoo via ASOS a few months back and have only just had the chance to wear it. I originally bought it in black and in my size. Sadly it was way to tight. I personally prefer jumpsuits in this culotte style to be slightly oversized. So I returned it and found the pastel pink one on ASOS. It is safe to say I love it. The material is so light and easy to wear. It does cause a bad VPL so make sure you're wearing a thong girls! I have noticed the fabric to go slightly bobbly where my bag has been rubbing against it, but that is the only fault really.

How pretty is Brighton!? It is only a short distance from where we lived in Melbourne and it host's 6km of coastline with a pedestrian and cycle path running across the majority of the foreshore. The most famous spot is Dendy street beach, where the colourful bathing boxes stretch along the beach offering a stunning view of Melbourne's city skyline. We stopped off here to take some photos then had a drink at one of the rooftop bars. Brighton offers such a relaxing atmosphere and is perfect for your typical 'long walks on the beach.' The architecture is outstanding some historic and some modern, both make for an interesting stroll also allowing you to only dream of living inside one.

A few of my favourite things

My makeup collection like probably most girls is forever growing. I love trying out new products and getting all excited. But if someone asked me what everyday makeup could I not go without, this would most likely be the answer-

Estee Lauder Double Wear- I was always a M.A.C foundation girl, until one day I received a tester from Estee Lauder to try their double wear foundation. I haven't really looked back since then. I am not one who regularly changes my foundation, so once I find a good one I tend to stick to it.

MAC 217 & 239- Both of these brushes are essential for any daily routine. The 217 is perfect for blending harsh lines into soft. It easily blends powdery creamy products because of its density it can even be used for applying concealer. The 239 is used mostly for shading and can be used to build and press intense colour in the lid.

Real techniques foundation brush- This hasn't been the best foundation brush I have had, however it does the job. I personally find that the foundation soaks into the brush causes a lot of waste. The hairs are a little harder and sometimes leave faint lines on your face. These is easily blended in, but it is slightly frustrating.

They're real Mascara- I cannot fault this mascara, it doesn't flake off, it lasts all day and the special brush enables you to apply to the corner of the lashes with ease. I love it and since using it received a lot more lash compliments.

MAC Viva Glam 2- I have previously written a post about this lipstick here. It is by far the best lipstick I have ever owed I am currently on about my fifth one!

Naked Basics- This palette is a godsend, especially for everyday use. I am going to write a more detailed post later on this month but for now you'll just have to take my word for it.

NARS Orgasm Duo- This is a genius collection of two iconic NARS products, Orgasm blush and Laguna bronzer. This is such a perfect little compact kit, and I cannot live without it

Rajrang Mandala Tapestry

|| Tapestry Rajrang || Top-H&M || Jeans -Topshop || Watch - JORD ||

I did not know it snowed in Australia. Now, believe it or not I am doing a Ski season here. It’s crazy how much your plans can change when you’re backpacking. I would highly recommend it; we’re having so much fun. We are currently in Perisher, which is a ski resort two hours north of Canberra. ( that photo was taken from my bedroom window) Me and Amy work most mornings and evenings but spend pretty much every day on the slopes. It’s been great perfecting our skiing, but we are keen to try snowboarding.
Now, onto this impressive tapestry I was so lucky to receive from Rajrang – It is simply stunning. The colours are so bold and bright. It has instantly made my room so much cosier. Especially when it’s snowing outside. The choice is endless on their website, you can choose between, single, double and even roundies. Mine is a double, which is 90x82. I cannot wait to take this on the beach with me. It is that big Amy and me could both sunbathe together and probably have room for all of our stuff too.
Rajrang are a small company based in Rajastan, North India. Who not only sell beautiful tapestries handmade by their talented artisans, they sell hareems (Aladdin pants, which I live in), figurines, bags, cushions, ashtrays and more. All of their products are finished to the highest standards too. I could not fault their communication, and considering right now I am literally in the middle of nowhere in the mountains of Australia. I received my tapestry in less than a week. If you are considering buying from Rajrang, I would definitely recommend.

 All the best, Coral.

LUSH Haul - Talking about my favourite LUSH products.

If you're a regular follower of my blog then you'll know I love LUSH. I love the uniqueness that they have, especially in comparison to other cosmetic brands. I love the incredible scents that they somehow produce. And most importantly I love that they are very clear about their feeling towards testing on Animals.
So I decided to let you all know the current LUSH products that I am using and lugging around Australia with me.

Firstly Rose Jam. I won't babble on too much about probably the best smelling shower gel to grace this planet, why? Because I did so last year, and you can read about it here.
Now onto Big Sea Salt Shampoo. Yes there are literally massive rocks of sea salt in the shampoo. But you know what, its great. At first it is strange, as I'm sure, like me, are used to silky smooth showers. Anyway... This shampoo in my opinion really is a game changer. The clue is in the name 'Big'. It's perfect for people with flat hair. It somehow gives an umph of volume after every wash. Obviously the smell was the other deciding factor when I purchased this. It literally smells incredible, please just go into LUSH to smell this, then you'll understand. One final thing then I'll stop, it has helped me with my terrible knots that I am forever brushing out. I literally could fall asleep with nice hair and wakeup with a dreadlock.
Dream Cream. This moisturiser really is what dreams are made for. The main ingredient is oats milk, which is effective in calming and soothing. It really is my favourite moisturiser. I feel as though it actually nourishes my skin and from what I have read Dream Cream has helped ladies all over the world who suffer with sensitive skin/eczema. It is also self preserving, which means it can last forever!
Ro's Argan Body Conditioner. Again I have already written a post about this here, so feel free to have a read if you haven't already.
No Drought Dry Shampoo. For me this dry shampoo was perfect, mainly because it does not come in an aerosol can, so I could take it on my long flights with me. The main ingredient is corn flower, which I found strange, but it works so who's complaining! It also has grapefruit essence so it smells fresh! I did find it difficult to use at first, I ended up spilling the majority down myself, but eventually I got the hang of it.

I hope I have inspired you to take a trip into LUSH.

GO NUDE! This seasons colour palette

Dressfashion Prom Dresses

Bomber, Body, Jeans all Topshop || Watch- JORD

Since arriving back in Australia earlier this month it really has been non stop. We had planned to travel the West coast (so many beautiful blog posts coming your way), supposedly leaving last Sunday. However our Car decided to have an A4 list wrong with it, which would have ended up costing us over $8000 to repair. So we had to make the decision of scrapping the car for parts. This was a hard choice as it left us with nothing, just after we had quit our jobs and moved out of our house. What a nightmare last month has been. BUT every cloud has a silver lining, and Amy’s dad’s good friend who lives in Australia too has bought us a car. We actually cannot believe our luck. So this past week we have been living and working on his chicken farm in Canberra as a way to say thank you. Believe it or not it has been so much fun, so much so we don't actually want to leave! Everyday we have to open the pens to let them roam. At around 1/2pm we collect the eggs and every few days they need feeding.

Going on to my outfit. I seem to be wearing this body a lot, the colour is spot on for this seasons nude trend. I love how Topshop have mastered the body (finally no bum-cheek overhang), this was a real problem for me. As for the bomber and Joni, they were a no brainer really, as they go with pretty much anything.

Anyway- Must dash, We have to collect the chickens eggs.

Festival Attire

Dressfashion Prom Dresses

I feel Missguided really have stepped up their game in the last few years. As a bonus the deliver cheaply to Australia too. Hoorah!
I picked up this monochrome bardot playsuit last month and I really did fall in love with it. A little advise though, order a size down as it came it very large on me, as you can probably see in the photos. I wore it to a Festival called Love Saves the Day in Bristol. The forecast for the day was heavy rain all day but we were so lucky and had sunshine all day.
I am officially back in Australia now after being back in the UK for six weeks. Unfortunately it is freezing.

Have a lovely week,

MAC: Spirit Review

||M.A.C - SPIRIT||

My MAC lipstick collection is dangerously growing and my bank balance sadly declining.
Earlier on this year I purchased 'Spirit' and yes (shock), I have only just got round to talking about it.
It is hard to describe a specific colour when talking about lipstick. This is because firstly how do you describe a nude lippy, and secondly it looks different on everyone depending on their skin tone, natural lip colour etc etc.

Personally I tend to use this colour when I am going for a casual drink, or somewhere that requires me to dress up slightly. I feel it really adds a bit my colour and vibrance to my everyday makeup. It's a satin finish, so that basically means it is a semi-matte. It adds a great texture and also conditions your lips too, so you won't get that horrible flakey dry lipstick mouth.

I would describe the colour as a darker shade of 'nude' but with a taupey brown undertone. I can't praise this colour enough. I have even received compliments that my teeth looked whiter in it, which is obviously fantastic. I would take a photo with the lipstick on but I really hate my lips close up. But please take me advise, this is one of my favourite lipsticks along with Viva Glam ||.

Enjoy,

DISCOUNT:// ASOS, BOOHOO, MISSGUIDED, BNKR, MODEL CO.

Yes, I know what you are thinking... Another Discount night? How could such fantastic new be so true?

Well a little birdy has informed me that Click Frenzy is a series of massive online sales events which are held to coincide with the major shopping periods throughout the calendar year. The first Click Frenzy event was held over four years ago and since then it has been a massive success.
In previous years discounts have soared to a whopping 90%. So for any of you that are unlike me and are super organised, then this the best time to get some Christmas presents.

There are even more brands than before with a lot of overseas brands participating in the sales.

Since I'm on the talk of Christmas I thought I would just put together a few items that I would love to give or receive as presents. There is such variety of stores that are in this sale, you could get something for everyone.

A Sydney based brand that specialises in accessories. What I love and feel really separates Oroton from the rest of their other competitors is their unique customisation that they offer. They use a technique called monogramming. Whereby you can choose from gold or silver foil to personalise your item. I have chosen the classic tote bag. I really love it in this mink colour, for me I'd call this bag a wardrobe staple. It will always be on trend and the personalised touch is great.

I was happy to see Pretty Little Things are offering discount for the Click Frenzy event. I am a fan of theirs. Being a relatively new brand to the competitive fashion world Pretty Little Things has not let that get in their way with almost 900k on Instagram, I think it is safe to say they know what they are doing in the fashion world. They are accessible online worldwide and have unbeatable prices for delivery. All of their stock is bang on trend, and their prices are equally as unbeatable as their delivery.

I am a makeup snob. I'll be the first to admit it. I really do believe that a lot of the time you can tell the difference between cheap and expensive makeup. But before I rush into purchasing an expensive product I occasionally shop around and see if there is a cheaper, better alternative. Model Co. has developed award-winning self-tanning, beauty and sun care solutions for over a decade. So it's safe to say they have a lot of experience. Since it is gradually getting colder in Melbourne, which therefore means no tan for me. I have loved their self-tan applicators, and their variety of self tan. They have even created an applicator design for your back- Genius. I will defiantly be purchasing some more

Enjoy this special discount event!

VOGUE ONLINE SHOPPING NIGHT 2016

Dressfashion Prom Dresses

So, being a girl and all I kinda’ love shopping. I’m basically shopping mentally every minute of every day, scrolling through Instagram, walking down the street, thinking of what to wear at the weekend, or what new beauty product I want to try out.
But what I love even more about shopping is discount on shopping. I have to admit it is such a big thing that I miss about being a student… The discount.
So when I found out about Vogue online shopping night 2016 I did have a big smile on my face. Then when I looked at the discounts they had to offer I had an even bigger smile on my face. There are literally hundreds of discounts from your favourite high street and designer brands many of include free shipping. Happy days here is direct link to the website where you can view the entire list of discounts.

I've had look through all of the brands and found some of my personal favourite and picked out a few things that I would like to add to my wardrobe.

20% OFF at General Pants || Code VOSNGP20
25% OFF at French Connection || Code VOGUE25

I've recently took the plunge and invested in some Adidas superstars and it just so happens that they go so nicely with relaxed pants. I really love this Sports Luxe trend that many brand are bringing in this season.

30% OFF at MINKPINK || Code MINKPINKVOSN
25% OFF at Witchery || Storewide

Ponchos are also another Wardrobe staple I need to invest in obviously I did not want to stretch too far from my favourite colour to wear (black) So I thought these two stunning grey ponchos were a really good investment. Especially with this crazy Melbourne bipolar weather we are constantly getting.

There really are so many discounts and offers to choose from I just wish I had all the money in the world to buy all the clothes I want but unfortunately I don't, but you'll be silly if you don't look.

Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei exhibition

Me during the Thoughtography session

Last Friday I visited the National Gallery Victoria for the final weekend of the Andy Warhol | Ai Weiwei exhibition.
I remember studying Andy Warhol's art in school. So I was pretty excited to see it all in person. I had heard lots of great feedback from Ah Wei Wei in the exhibition too.

The NGV put on a great display for the art work. The gallery was divided into two parts. I love how they used both artists work to compliment each other and point of various similarities in their work even though they had been created years apart.

There were also some interactive aspects to the night which we all enjoyed. Firstly we queued up for something called 'Thoughtography'. We were given a headset and a headband, (which was what measured your thought process) We were then asked to look at four images from the exhibition. These images were carefully selected to trigger different senses in your brain which allow the team to measure your brainwaves and create thoughtographs The result is a unique depiction of how your mind responded to the different artworks. The image it creates is really cool

We then went to Aiweiwei's studio cats section. This was very interactive, mainly for children but I loved it. If you follow me on snapchat (coral_payne) you would have seen us playing around in the room. This was also where you could play with the Andy Warhol portrait. It allowed you to recreate the famous pop art images.

The night was so much fun, I just wish I have longer to look around.
I have heard the Cindy Sherman exhibition is out in Brisbane too. I really want to see that too.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

The Grampians

Leggings, Top H&M| Nikes - Office |

You could say I'm getting itchy feet. Being stuck in the same place for three months whilst you save to travel is hard. Especially when your in a country like Australia which has so much beauty to offer but you need money to explore it.

So this weekend me and my two friends Olivia and Boston discovered The Grampians, a National Park three hours West of Melbourne. Being a National Park I was expecting spectacular views and rich diverse beauty, unique sandstone rock formations, aboriginal art and numerous walking trails. It's safe to say I was not disappointed.
Before setting off I recommend that you do you research. Since I can't remember the last time I worked out, I didn't want to entail a gruelling four-hour hike or something I wasn't prepared for. So we opted for a few shorter walks. Fortunately the majority of the main looks out points are accessible by car, which allowed us to see more than we originally anticipated.

First off we went to the Boroka lookout, its just a short drive from Halls Gap, which is a pretty little one-street town. It is the easiest access point for the best of the Grampians. Beware Kangaroo's roam around here. There are shops, restaurants and a supermarket on road. To get to the Boroka lookout just drive up Mt Difficult Road the lookout offers  180-degree views of Western Victoria, looking out over Halls Gap and Lake Bellfield. We climbed under the platform to get that sunning photo. It was such a drop, believe me.

After that we headed to MacKenzie Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Victoria. Flowing year round, the falls sees water cascade over huge cliffs into a deep pool, the climb down is easy. But the climb up was so hard, I thought I was going to pass out.

We were lucky to catch the Reed lookout for sunset, the views offered endless vast green trees for miles around.  From Reed lookout you can breath-taking views over Victoria Valley, Victoria Range, Serra Range, Lake Wartook and the Mt Difficult Range.

The day was amazing, it's just given me even more of a reason to save so I can see more and more of Australia and the rest of the world.
